He was the National Promotion Manager for the bowling division of Brunswick Corp. Don graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1949 with a BA degree and entered the business world. In 1943, Don enlisted in the US Navy and served as an aviation machinist until his discharge in 1946. He was born Main Hackensack, NJ to Francis and Josephine Starin who preceded him in death.
